DELL EMC VG2 : Shared are often getting out of domain

Hi Team,

On our prod and test VG2, shared are getting out of domain within 4 to 5 days., there is't any changes happened at AD end, the objects are configured properly still the shares are getting out of domain,

One time we could see that the VG2 is getting connection refused with AD. but we did see the connection refused alert on next occurrence of share getting out of domain

can any one please suggest some steps to get rid of this issue, it would be helpful if we set a cron/monitoring alert to alert us if the share is getting out out domain

Hi,

Thanks for your question.  Where are you seeing the domain errors? What are you doing to put it back in the domain each time?

Let us know if there is anything else we can help you with.

We will receive requests from users that there weren't able to access the shares, upon checking server_cifs < data_mover>, the share would be out of domain,

Then we'll add back the shares via GUI and request the user to verify the same. recent days frequently the shares are getting moved out of domain

These steps might help. https://dell.to/3GywUCi You may need to wait until it happens again and see. What version of the OE are you on? What version of Unisphere are you managing from? You may also want to check the networking between the AD controller and the storage.
