Hello Malwarebytes community,

Malwarebytes v5.2.9.176 component package 129.0.5196 is now available.

You can get the update right away by clicking "Check for updates" in Settings > General. Or, it will be automatically installed if you have automatic updates enabled.

Features and improvements

  • Introduced a web-based login system for activation through my.malwarebytes.com, now supporting Google, Apple, and Facebook authentication
  • Added system architecture details in the “About Malwarebytes” screen
  • Improved startup performance

Issues fixed

  • Fixed a problem where the “Real-Time Protection turned off” notification appeared at startup in some cases, even though protection was active and functioning correctly
  • Resolved an issue where a Windows 11-specific Trusted Advisor alert was incorrectly displayed on Windows 10

Additional notes

Due to an issue with the Web Protection module, we’ve paused the rollout of this version. We’re actively working on a fix and will release an updated version as soon as possible.
