Twitter data breach

Twitter was hit with a data breach starting in Jan'22 and more than 5 million user accounts were impacted.

The security flaw affected Twitter's Android app, but would have allowed access to personal data associated with any Twitter account, including phone number, email address, once the hacker got inside.

Twitter has since fixed the security hole but the stolen data is now being offered for sale on the dark web.
