Norton Standard killed Dell Support Assist Software Updates

Just installed Norton Standard on my Dell laptop and can no longer use the "software updates" portion of Support Assist. Am I missing a permission somewhere in the myriad of Norton options and set up items? I suspect it's a simple change to allow apps to update the laptop, but finding that in among the huge number of Norton set-up items is daunting...
