New Computer!
Well, the old Dell wouldn't turn on, and the backup (an Acer) wouldn't boot up at all. Guess it's lack of RAM put too much of a strain on it. I went to a reputable shop here in Denver that does mostly refurbs and got a Dell Vostro 3470 at a decent price. It's got Windows 11 and 8 GB of RAM and a 128 GB SSD drive and the Edge browser...which should be enough for my purposes.
Supposedly, this operating system is rather secure, and so is Edge. Chrome is installed in case I want to use it. I plan to install MBAM later today and was wondering if I should add anything else like Panda AV or SAS besides the built in Windows Defender. Will spend the weekend getting use to Windows 11, with the help from a book from the library

First off, congratulations on the new computer!
Edge is now "Chromium based", so I don't know that there's much to be gained by having/using both Edge and Chrome.
I am using Windows Defender on my newer Win10 laptop; Panda on my older one. Either one should be fine. Both work nicely alongside MBAM.
SAS has declined in value, I use it only to remove cookies (weekly). It won't hurt to have, but I don't know that you really gain anything either.

When you install many/most commercial AV products, they automatically disable Windows Defender (aka: Windows Security). Otherwise, they can conflict with each other and cause problems...
Did you ever change the motherboard battery in the Acer? If it hasn't been plugged in for a while, the battery might be dead.

It was supposed to... although some people have reported problems. Glad it's working for you.
