Mozilla Consumer Creep-O-Meter
Mozilla has posted an Annual Consumer Creep-O-Meter to help people see which companies are stealing data and tracking us.
On first screen, you can select some specific tech products to see how exposed you may be. On the Results screen, you don't have to enter an email address. Just click the "Skip" button to see the results.
Then scroll further down the page for links to Best/Worst Products (out of 172 evaluated), etc. The bigger list is here.
I'd be unhappy if I owned a Nissan vehicle and used their MyNissan app and NissanConnect services. But they're not alone because 100% of auto companies failed to meet Mozilla's privacy/security standards.
And then there's the ~5 hours it would take to read all the privacy docs for Meta's Quest Pro VR headset...No thanks!

I have opted out of every optional app offered to me in the past decade. I assume they are all spying on me. Unfortunately there must be thousands of embedded apps in every vehicle offered. I can hear them all whirring and spooling and spinning down after I shut off the ignition.
Even the emergency call programs that operate through your speakers. They aren't waiting for a crash to overhear the conversation ...
