Microsoft Edge 91 brings new bugs and annoying popup messages
I post this because I have experienced all the annoyances of this latest Edge browser listed below.

Comment:
What I experienced with all my Edge browsers mirrored the worst that Abrams reports:
- Hijacking of my startup pages to a generic Microsoft "New Tab", with popups trying to foist Bing search engine on me.
- Ignoring my configurations that identify my default startup browser page according to MS own instructions.
- As this article suggests, I might have been targeted because I deleted Bing as my default browser long ago.
The good news is that these glitches seem to have disappeared for now, for at least the last 24 hours. Notby anything I did.
Just FYI. To my mind, hijacking a browser is malware. Yet none of my defenses detected this.

I also experienced the "nag screen", wanting (among other things) to change my default browser to EDGE and my default search engine to Bing. Happened at least twice.. probably 3 times. Once might be a tolerable offer. But after I rejected it, I agree it shouldn't be repeatedly thrust at me.

Now you know why I work so hard to keep Edge Chromium off my PCs!
Installing "uninvited" software on our PCs should be stopped. Why is MS allowed to do it, but then call everyone else a hacker that needs to be blocked?
