Malwarebytes "eating" all available RAM
The following is copied/pasted from https://www.wilderssecurity.com/threads/malwarebytes-anti-malware-updates.389946/page-105#post-2995209
Malwarebytes is using ALL my RAM (16GB+)
[...]
Ladies and gentlemen,
We know about this problem now and can tell it will happen when a scan is scheduled to the time of Daylight Savings adjusting.
The work around for it is to delete all scheduled tasks, restart MBAM (or reboot machine) and create a new scheduled scan.
We are working on a fix for this and will post as soon as we have it ready for release.
Thank you so much for your patience,

Malwarebytes has released a new version of the component package, 1.0.1236, which (allegedly) fixes this issue.
If you don't want to wait for the 'Update Available' notification, go right ahead and retrieve the update manually by clicking "Check for updates" in Settings > General.
What’s New in 1.0.1236:

I did not see this RAM feasting by MB, but do note that MB Premium (real time) is the biggest consumer of RAM on all my Win 10 PCs. About 250MBs of RAM used by MB service. (Compared to Windows Defender service, which uses about 150 MB if it is activated). On PCs with 8-16 GB of RAM, the effect is negligible. These numbers did not change when I upgraded MB to 1.0.1236.
Then again, it appears the RAM problem was associated with a MB scheduled scan that conflicted with the DST change. This is a good example of unintended consequences. FWIW I never schedule any MB scans.
But I was interested to learn that Malwarebytes is the hungriest of RAM consumers, at least on my PCs ...
Thanks for the update, ky331
