Intel Computing Improvement Program
Intel Computing Improvement Program got installed on my Win 10 PC today 8-16-20, entirely in the background, not via Window Update and without permission.
It's listed in the Windows Reliability Monitor. My PC actually froze for ~1 min so I checked the RM to see what might have caused the freeze and this Intel nonsense was listed as being installed exactly at the time of the freeze.
I also see a new service listed in services.msc called Intel System Usage Report Service SystemUsageReportSvc_QUEENCREEK which has an Automatic startup type.
Tried to uninstall the Improvement app in Add/Remove and got error saying it couldn't connect to the internet, but I have access. I cancelled the uninstall and when I re-opened Add/Remove, the app is no longer listed and the service has been removed from services.msc.
Who gave Intel the right to install their spyware? I never agreed to this.
