installation of antivirus software

hi
i have bought inspiron 1525 laptop with vista. it contains one month free macfee antivirus software. but i would like to install another antivirus for one year. how can i do it? at the time removing the older one, does it affect my windows vista?

You'll either have to purchase an antivirus package (or download one of the free packages) and install it. Uninstall McAfee BEFORE you install another product. I'm not sure what you mean by "does it affect my windows vista?"
 
If you mean uninstalling McAfee and installing another product, this will not affect Vista.

thanks very much.
you are right as i was saying like that. uninstallation of macfee won't affect visa, will it? while i was trying to do it, i saw a message like this..... will affect windows

No, it won't affect Vista. Have a look here for the procedure to uninstall McAfee and to download and run the McAfee Removal Tool.
