Dormant Colors malware
Guardio Labs says Dormant Colors browser extensions, with >1 million Edge and Chrome installations, are malware. There are multiple versions of this, all offered for free in the Edge and Chrome stores, and advertised as easy ways to customize your browser, particularly its color scheme.
When you run a search, the extensions hijack your results and send you to pages with their affiliates' advertising. The developers make money from your clicks and views this way.
Dormant Colors also adds their affiliates' links to the URL of pages you visit. The scammers get a commission if you buy something on that site.
