cannot delete an unwanted program! help!

well, where do i begin? lets just say i thought i got rid of a problem and apparently the problem still exist. i (foolishly) downloaded a program called PIOLET-you can download music, avis,  etc.. sometime ago and i deleted the program after realizing that my computer was running slow and the program was poor-well i went to add/remove programs under the control panel and deleted this stupid program-well at least i thought i did. to my surprise-the program is still lingering about in my computer under a hidden file that i cannot locate-just to make sure that i deleted it correctly-i went back into the add/remove programs and checked to see if it was still there-and it's not but PIOLET is still running and i cannot locate it. the only reason why i know it still exist is for the simple fact that i went under the task manager and found that the program is still running. i've tried searching for the program and it comes up but it tells me that it cannot be deleted. so if someone would be so kind as to telling me how i would go about deleting this PIOLET program FOREVER-i would be most appreciative- i thank you in advance-and if you have no idea as to what my problem is-please let me know and i would try to explain it in a more simplistic way.
