Failed to remove abandoned image

I am unable to remove an abandoned image with optimizer in 7.2.  The file is a .vswp file and the only message is that it failed (not sure what log to look at to get more info).  I have verified the permissions and even gave the account administrator permissions on vcenter.  Versions are Foglight for Virtualization Enterprise edition and vCenter 5.5.  Anyone have any suggestions on what to try to isolate where the problem is at?
