Installation problems with Dell Vcenter Managment Plugin
Hello;
I have been installing the Dell Vcenter Management Plugin according to this guide:
http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/software/eslvmwre/plugin/1_0/UG/ug.pdf
I had an issue with the SSL certificate on the Dell VC virtual server (this is created when deploying the OZVF file). I then decided to unregister the Vcenter server from the Dell VC, and then attempted a factory reset.
After the machine came back up and I have tried to register the Vcenter server again, I get an error stating the Vcenter server is still registered. I then setup a new Dell VC with a different IP address, tried to register the Vcenter server and still get the same error.
Can someone instruct me how to manually remove the Vcenter Severs registration? I am assuming that this is done on the Vcenter server,

Hi MikeTheAdmin,
To remove the appliance if the Admin Portal cannot be used to unregister the appliance:
1 Go to https:// /mob
2 Click Content
3 Click ExtensionManager.
4 Click UnregisterExtension
5 Enter the extension key to unregister "com.dell.plugin.Dell Management Plug-in", then click Invoke method
6 In the vSphere client, power off the plug-in appliance and delete it
As for your SSL certificate issue, have you read this forum thread: en.community.dell.com/.../19977065.aspx

Update: Still no resolution but I did notice that when I try and reset my Dell VC Virtual server to factory default it errors out stating that it was unable to remove the Vcenter Registration

SSL issue was solved by clearing my Internet Explorer SSL certificate cache and then recreating the Dell Virtual Environment with new ip address and hostname

You need to unregister the plugin from the vCenter console. To remove plug-ins on the vCenter Server, go into the vCenter Managed Object Reference at http://vcenterservername/mob (if you're accessing it remotely, use https). You may want to use the IP address of the vCenter rather than the name. Authenticate with vSphere credentials and then click on content and then the extension manager. From the list of installed extensions, get the text of the vcenter plugin , but don't take the extensionList[" part of the name, nor the "] at the end. It should look something like .com.dell.vcenter_Plugin. Click the "UnregisterExtension" link at the bottom of the pageFrom the list of installed extensions, get the text of the plug-in that you want to remove , but don't take the extensionList[" part of the name, nor the "] at the end. The name should look something like .com.dell.vCenter_Plugin. Click the "UnregisterExtension" link at the bottom of the page and enter the plug-in name. Once it's unregistered, close out the MOB screen and restart your vSphere client.
