ViPR Monitoring and Reporting

Hi Experts,

I am new to ViPR and was going through the ViPR fundamentals document. Under the ViPR components, it says that the Monitoring and reporting Software distribution is included with the pack. This has the REST API to access ViPR managed arrays. my question is without SRM , can the ViPR M & R provide reports on its own or SRM is required to generate the reports ?
