ViPR 2.3 not able to discover the Cisco 5K unified switches.
Hi Guys,
I ran into some problem regarding ViPR not able to discover the Cisco 5K unified switches.
My Vipr machines are able to ping the switches. However the switches are not able to ping the ViPR machines.
when I use "Ping vrf ViPR IP's" command from the switch end. I can ping the ViPR machines
Below is the output:
bemecp03sw002a# ping 10.72.153.75 vrf management
PING 10.72.153.75 (10.72.153.75): 56 data bytes
64 bytes from 10.72.153.75: icmp_seq=0 ttl=61 time=0.999 ms
64 bytes from 10.72.153.75: icmp_seq=1 ttl=61 time=0.82 ms
64 bytes from 10.72.153.75: icmp_seq=2 ttl=61 time=0.772 ms

64 bytes from 10.72.153.75: icmp_seq=4 ttl=61 time=0.806 ms
My Switch Model is Cisco 5548 .
Question: As I know that ViPR is just trying to add the switches under Fabric manager tab using a SSH to switches, but in my situation its different as ViPR will not able to see the switch as its a layer 2 device. Can we do some script changes under ViPR so that ViPR manually discovers the switches??
Any help is appreciated!
Thanks and Regards,
Akshay
