Trying to add VNXe3200 to ViPR Controller

I have a VNXe3200 in my lab and im trying to add it to the free ViPR controller, but not having any luck.

Ive tried both the VNX for File and VNX / VMAX for Block array "type" settings but neither are actually connecting to the array, just get a red icon over on the right saying that a connection couldnt be established.

Any tips to make this work ?

The most basic step is to make sure your software levels on VNX are supported. Refer to Compatibility Matrix for ViPR document available on support.emc.com.

The next step is to look at ViPR logs.

Isolate the time when you attempted discovery and then pull full logs, including DEBUG level, for those specific few minutes. do not do anything else in those few minutes (it will create additional log = more work for you). just get to the discovery screen... sit idle for 5 minutes... click discover... record time... sit idle for 5 minutes... go get logs.

Look at controller, api, and portal services log files.

Typically the messages there will be quite detailed.
