RPA Journal from different virtual pool or virtual array
We are implementing ViPR with RPA for Data Protection. The storage involves VNX and VMAX on Prod site and VNX and VMAX on DR site.
The customer's requirement is to have the source & target volumes in VNX and the source & target RPA journals in VMAX on respective sites. This is due to the capacity limitation in the VNX at both the site.
From the ViPR "Virtual Pool" configuration, I can't find option to specify the RPA journals in a different virtual array or virtual pool. It just asks for the Journal Size, which means both the data and journal LUN will be from the same Virtual Pool.
How to achieve this scenario?

My understanding is that specifying different locations for Journal and Clone is not supported today..

Thanks Rich. But any idea this might be included in future releases?

Yes, I believe this is on the roadmap for early 2015 to have several enhancements.. I also saw a note that indicates that currently ViPR will put the journal on a different physical pool from the clone, within the same array if there are multiple pools, but this is done by ViPR without input from the requestor.
I don't know the algorithm used as of yet.

Thanks Rich. Do you have any reference that you can share about the note.
