Property for CISCO MDS Switch Serial Number
I'm attempting to put together an inventory report for all MDS switches and have been able to populate all required fields but serial number. I've tried multiple properties but none seem to return the correct value (if one at all). The one I'm looking for specifically is the SN for the chassis. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I looked, it doesn't seem to be there OOB
For a MDS you want to poll this table
.1.3.6.1.2.1.47.1.1.1 (.entPhysicalTable)
Look for the "Fabric Stack Root" item
And you serial number will be in the entPhysicalSerialNum (.1.3.6.1.2.1.47.1.1.1.1.11)
In any case your serial number is in that table.

I appreciate your response but I'm unsure how I would apply it to our environment to get the results needed. Another thing I was thinking about doing was using data enrichment and creating my own property with the chassis serial number. A bit more labor intensive and not dynamic but very rare that the serial number for the chassis would change during the life cycle of the asset.
