Non-EMC tools that can be used for ViPR troubleshooting and log collection
The following sections list some non-EMC tools that can be used for ViPR troubleshooting and log collection.
Please feel free to add any tools you may use or find useful to this post discussion.
REST Clients
- FireFox Addon: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/restclient/ get HTTP requests directly from the ViPR REST API
- Chrome Addon: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/fhjcajmcbmldlhcimfajhfbgofnpcjmb get HTTP requests directly from the ViPR REST API
CIMOM Tools
- CimNavigator: http://cimnavigator.com/ is a graphical browser tool written in Java that can be used to manipulate CIM objects hosted on CIMOMs on remote or local computers.
Terminal Emulator
- PuTTY: http://www.putty.org/ can be used to SSH into the ViPR appliance or a UNIX/Linux server that is being discovered
FTP Clients
- WinSCP: http://winscp.net/eng/index.php can be used to transfer files to and from the ViPR appliance.
- FileZilla: http://filezilla-project.org/ can be used to transfer files to and from the ViPR appliance.
LDAP Browser
- JXplorer: http://jxplorer.org/ a standards compliant general purpose LDAP browser that can be used to read and search any ldap directory
