Modifying xml configuration template

Question

Hello,

We have done on two collectors: SNMP for brocade switch and VMAX some modification to collect additional properties. However every time the collectors are update all modifications are overwritten by the default file. We would like to know if there for the customer to add his modification in the template file used for generating the xml config?

For example :

For VMAX we are updating the files :

/opt/APG/Collecting/XML-Collector/emc-vmax/conf/xmlcollector-vmax-topo.xml

and

/opt/APG/Collecting/Group-Filter/emc-vmax/conf/gf-vmax-lunprops1.xml

But we would prefer to perform change on the template file instead

Hello JM,

There is no way for you to update the template files. One way to ensure that your changes live through upgrades is by submitting enhancement requests so your changes can be back ported into the product, as applicable.
