Getting started with ViPR

I've installed ViPR up to the point where I have an authentication provider.

From what I understand, I need to use the default user "root" to create a security administrator role.  However, I can not figure out how to do that.  No matter what I try it doesn't work and I can't find any documentation that walks you through the startup process.

Can anyone provide me some information?

The documentation implies that all users have to belong (be mapped) to a tenant before you can set a role, but then when I do that it won't work.

If I try and assign a role to a user that hasn't been mapped to a tenant, it fails.

Any helpful suggestions would be appreciated.

I have to say, the documentation started off ok with some omissions or ambiguity and then left me completely hanging.
