ECS Add-on for EMC ViPR SolutionPack License
ViPR SRM 4.0.3 environment.
The ViPR SRM 4.0.3 SolutionPack guide states on page 97 that before I begin the ECS SolutionPack installation and configuration, I need to add the 'ECS Add-on for EMC ViPR SolutionPack' license.
What is the ECS Add-on for EMC ViPR SolutionPack license?
And where can I get it?

I believe the documentation you are referring to is:
Add the 'ECS Add-on for EMC ViPR SolutionPack' license before installing the SolutionPack. If the license is added after the SolutionPack has been installed, the SolutionPack data collection block has to be reconfigured.
So they are talking about the licence for ECS.
Do you have the License?
On your VIPR SRM, GUI i would go to licenses to confirm if you already have the license
If you need a licence, feel free to contact the Licensing group at
1-800-782-4362 option 4

Hi rmc@DellEMC,
That is a license that you have to install on ECS itself.

If you are specifically asking what ECS is, it stands for Elastic Cloud Storage. It is a software defined storage Product.
