Create filter for LunID in VIPR SRM

I am trying to create a scheduled report in VIPR srm to be sent every 20 minutes. Now I only need the response times for few select luns. Eg LUN 340 to 398 and 400-412 out of a total of 700 luns. How do i define a filter for this? Luns are spread across pools and I want to consolidate them, which is why I opted for user luns performance tab instead of going to into each pool.

Hi snkj,

  • from the "Report Details:Table" tab you can individually select which property (columns) you want in your report
  • from the "Filtering & Expansion" tab you will select using the filter which LUNs you want to see

A very good example would be to look at the report listing all LUNs with slow response time. It is in that section:

All>>Operations>>Situations to Watch>>Performance: Worst LUN Response Time

That more complex example use filtering on a numerical column, but you can see we filtered out some pool type (similar to you looking to filter on a specific subset of LUNs)

Hi snkj,

What you did should work (filter on the column). But I'm not sure of your use case.

Rendering a big report every 20 minutes can be intensive. If you want to trigger alerts or notification the alerting module is a good candidate.
