could vipr used for VM's migration?
Hi
I have a situation that, i have two vCenters 5.5 and vCenter 6.0. Both are independent. The VM's are located in vCenter 5.5 and the vCenter6.0 is new environment. ViPR 3.X is installed on vCenter 6.0. Currently vCenter6.0 is register with VIPR 3.X.
1:- I want to migrate all VM's from vCenter 5.5 to vCenter 6.0 with out taking any downtime. Could i achieve the migration with VIPR?
2:- The vCenter 5.5 is using VMax2 and vCenter6.0 is using VMax3. VMax3 only is register with ViPR. Few Luns need to migrate from VMax2 to VMax3, Could i achieve the migration with ViPR?
If yes, Some one share me the process/steps and pre-requisites to get this done. Thank you in-advance for your time and support.

VIPR cannot migrate data.
VIR is only able to perform VPLEX Migrations (through Change VirtualArray/VirtualPool services).
But in your case, it does not seem you have VPLEX !
I'm not sure how you can migrate your VMs from vCenter 5.5 to another vCenter 6.0 with different ESXi without downtime (maybe some VMWare guys can answer here).

Hi
Thank you for the reply. I am aware of VM migration process from vCenter to another. I am trying to check the different feasibility options to achieve the task. So in that process, i am miss understood that ViPR is also helpful to migrate the VM's from vCenter to another.
