Correct configuration for Topology Service
Hello,
I have a question about the Topology service configuration as it is not totally clear to me if it is correctly configured.
Let's say that I have the following configuration:
HostCollector is the collector where I have the following services installed:
I have HostPrimaryBck which is the primary backend with following services installed
According to my configuration for my two collector instances (VNX & RecoverPoint), i suppose that the correct parameters should be the following:
By setting to localhost the web-service gateway hostname, the two collecting instances will address their request to the one web-servicegateway that is running on the HostCollector that will forward them to the HostPrimaryBackend.
Is that config is correct ?
Thanks for your help.
NB: A useful doc that should be created for SRM is a kind of Visio stencil with all services running across the servers and the relationship between them and on which port.

When you are configuring the Topology Service block for a collector you need to specify where the Topology-Service is located. This service is typically installed on the Primary Backend. You also need to specify the host name of the Topology-Service host in the Web-Service Gateway dropdown in the Topology Service section.
I have included the link to the ViPR SRM 3.7 documentation library. Under the Install and Upgrade section of this page you will find the EMC ViPR SRM SolutionPack Installation Guide. If you have any questions regarding how a SolutionPack should be configured you should be able to find the answer in this document.
As an example I have included the Topology Service section from the Brocade SolutionPack install.
