Brocade FC Switch, distinction between Fiber & Cooper port
Hello,
I would like to know if there a way to make the distinction between a cooper & a fiber port in SRM for the brocade FC Switch?
On a Brocade switch, issuing a switchshow the distinction is done through the media value (id for a Fiber, cu for a cooper) :
Index Slot Port Address Media Speed State Proto
==============================================
0 1 0 d20000 id 8G No_Light FC
1 1 1 ------- cu 8G No_sync FC
But i can't find in SRM a property that is matching the Media one
Thanks for the help,
Jean-Michel

Thank you for the information. However it is quite annoying because if i have a switch with let's say 40 Ports (30Fiber, 10 cooper) and i have 20 connected Fiber towards host SRM will report that i have in total 20 Free ports: the 10 remaining fiber + the 10 cooper...Which is somewhere false because we can't use the cooper ports.
Do you know if there is any chance to have this info collected by Vipr SRM one day?
Thanks,
JM
