You are not authorized to view this DELL EMC Product (Unity 300)

One of our client informed us that their Unity 300 is having an issue. Per description a BBU needs replacement. So I went to Dell Support to create a service request. Upon entering the serial number of the affected machine it says that "You are not authorized to view this DELL EMC Product" and it stops right there, I can't create a SR. My account on Dell has a black check beside my name, yet I am not authorized. Any recommendation or workaround?

Hello Eajc,

Your account is not associated with the serial# or site id of your customers account. You will need to get your account to be tied to their serial# or site id in order to open any support cases. You can call into support and they can assist you with getting your account associated with your customers site id.
