Hello matik,

You will need to upgrade your unity OE.  If your system is still under warranty then you can upgrade to the latest version of 5.0.2.  Here is the link to the latest version of OE. https://dell.to/2Kyymrr

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Hello matik,

Did you create your VMDK’s as thin or thick? If you configured them as thick then you will see all the space in vmware & not on the unity system. If you created them as thin, then they should be close to the same size.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

thanks for your reply. vmdk are really created as thick. The problem is that we get alerts due to pool capacity on unity. And capacity does not change after vmdk removal or migration.

Hello matik,

What is the current version of VMware that you are running?  Also have you deleted the vmdk did you run a zero space reclaim from vmware?

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

VMware - 6.7

Unishere - 4.3.1

VMFS - 5

We don't run a zero space reclaim from vmware. (need to read vmware manual)

As i understand, we don't have any problem if use vmfs6, but unishere can only make vmfs5. How we can upgrade unishere os and datastores to vmfs6?
