Unity, Unity Central, and Internally Issued Certificates
I have 6 Unity arrays, and set them up with certificates from my internal CA to make browsers happy. These arrays have since been configured to communicate with a Unisphere Central appliance. Now, the certificates have expired. When I issue the command from the Unity shell to update the new certs I have staged, the command fails with a message that it failed because the array is connected to Unisphere Central. Ok, fine. I disconnect from UC, and the cert update command processes fine. I connect back to the UC ... and discover that all my historic capacity and performance data is gone.
Is there a way to update certs without disconnecting from UC ?

Hi,
Thanks for your question. I wasn’t able to find a way to do it without disconnecting from Unisphere central.

Thanks for the reply, Josh. Is there a way to open a bug report so this issue can be fixed? Losing my historic data when I update my certs every year is a serious problem.

I think the ideal solution would be for array certificates to be manageable via the UC appliance. I would love to have one place to manage all my unity certs.

Typically, feature requests go through Sales and bug reports go through phone support escalations. There isn't an email address or form for asking for changes.
