Unity NAS SMB disable NTLM-force Kerberos

Hi all,

We have Unity NAS SMB servers joined in our AD domain.

In theory I understand it use AD authent with NTLM or Kerberos. It seems to use NTLM in our environment.

We would like to disable NTLM and force kerberos to be used only.

I looked for documentations and KB but really did not manage to find how to do that...

I saw LDAP parameters in Unity GUI with kerberos authent, but this is the LDAP/NIS menu, using Unix Directory Services, so it seems weird to me to enable UDS for our SMB Nas servers...

I suppose what we look for is maybe in CLI, but I did not find anything in CLI guide for example, some nas parameters to be changed.

Our Nas servers are only SMB, no multiprotocol here.

Please help !

Hi,

Thanks for your question. I also don’t see a way to do it. What version of the OE are you on? You may also be able to disable it in group policy from the AD side.

Let us know if you have any additional questions.

our OE is 5.1.3.0.5.003

sure, possible from AD side, but this is not a solution for us for now,  as there are too much devices using NTLM.

Nope, this is my only actual question, I hope someone has some hints at least, or THE answer

Thx
