Unity change hot spare drives
I am trying to prepare a Unity 300 to sell. In order to do that, we have a company requirement to sanitize the system. With that in mind, is there a way to change which drives are used for spares on Unisphere (or CLI)? I'm trying to bind every drive in order to do a system sanitization and every time I create a pool (or pools) and then delete them it holds back the same 5 drives (out of 137) every time as spares (Usually slot 0 of each of the first 5 DAE's in the stack). I'm hoping there's a way I can use different drives as spares each time. Is there a way to maybe fail drives 1 by 1? Or another method? Thanks for the assistance!

Hello craigschuer,
There is not a way for you to change the hotspare drives in a unity, you would need to open a support case to have that done. When a pool is created for every 32 drives one drive is reserved as a hotspare drive. When wanting to do data erasure you will need to contact support, and they will run a program that will wipe all the data on your unity and hotspare drives.
