(Serious) Can I *physically* rotate an Unity 300 unit with disks attached?
Hi!
I have a standard 42U cabinet with some stuff, including an U300 with some disks attached on the front that I would like to transport to nearly the other side of the world.
Is it OK for the Unity if I transport this cabinet rotated on the "sagittal plane" so it's lying on the floor (front of the devices pointing up towards the sky) rather than upright (front of the devices pointing towards the horizon)?
Do excuse me for my weird question, I haven't been able to find anything on the docs.
Any insight would be appreciated!
Best regards!

Hello dromedary1st,
It is best to ship the system so that the drives are pointing to the horizon. If you ship it with the drives pointing to the sky you could cause damage so some of the internal components. When we ship the system to a customer it is shipped with the drives facing horizon.
