380F : can we configure multiple iSCSI vlans on same cable ?

Hello,

We are looking to move to Unity from old Nimble.
Current Nimble have volumes configured for SQL servers and for Cluster on access VMs (Virtual Machines)

We have 2 iSCSI vlans between Nimble and 2019 Hyper-V fail-over cluster:

vlan (1) iSCSI SQL volumes and

vlan (2) iSCSI volumes used by Cluster for VMs

The issue is not performance but micro segmentation for PCI DSS compliance purposes.  We segregate data traffic seen by Cluster as a whole (the VMs) from SQL data which contain PII user information and Credit Card data for transaction processing, which is seen only by single SQL server.

Thank you in advance for your advice and suggestions,

Hello wmhooper,

For each NIC/SP port path requires one iSCSI session per path. Multiple sessions per connection have been known to cause connection stability issues in some cases.

Here are a couple of links to some best practice guide as well as configuration guide.
