Venue Pro 8 Touch Problems

I have my Venue Pro 8 about a week and was starting to have problems with the touch accuracy today. I went into Control Panel and reset the touch points using the tool. When I closed the configuration tool, I could only accurately touch things on the right side of the screen -both in horizontal and vertical position. Tried re-booting but when the password request came up, I could not type any letters on the left of the keyboard. Basically I'm locked out of the tablet. Does anyone know a way to re-configure the touch screen calibration without having to log into the device? Thanks

With an OTG cable and an older (immense) Microsoft natural keyboard, I am able to use the keyboard to enter my login. Let me look... the mouse is also active then. It may be much easier to find a way to log into the device than to recalibrate the screen without logging in.   :emotion-3:

Anyway, good luck with this.

Thanks for the reply! After submitting my post, I found a posting from another user that said they were able to use a mouse with an OTG cable. I was able to do that and was able to get the virtual keyboard to come up. Using the mouse, I was able to log in and reset the touch settings back to default. So far so good - don't think I will mess with the default settings again. Thanks again for the suggestion!
