VENUE Pro 8 - Desktop pinch to zoom
I understand that MS in it's infinite wisdom (and suicidal streak) decided to ban pinch and zoom from the Windows 8 desktop. Is there any remedy for that unimaginable decision? Third party is fine.
I can't use the VENUE Pro 8 for the purpose I bought it without being able to control the app I want to demo with it. Without desktop pinch and zoom the app's controls are too small for my normal sized fingers to interact with effectively. Actually the interactive elements on the desktop are generally unusable without pinch and zoom. The "magnifier" is useless and the device does not play at all well with a stylus.
If I can't resolve this I will have to return the purchase to Costco as unusable.
Thanks

I turn on the Touch Mouse Pointer when I need to get into tight places.

I use the mode that turns the entire screen into a touch pad overlaying the display.

Perfect! Thank you so much. I really wanted this little thing to work for me and Touch Mouse Pointer completes the picture. Great little demo box if you are trying to peddle an app for VC. I'm sure I'll find other uses too.:emotion-2:
Frankly I think it should ship with the VENUE 8 Pro. He needs a little help translating his English page, however. Wish I had the time to help.

I've given some thought to doing that too. I'm sure he would appreciate it. I emailed him that he had misspelled "sonar" as "sonor" on the setting page, and he corrected it right away. The problem I have with helping him is I can't understand what it is he's trying to say.

I have not seen anywhere a full screen transparent app that behaves like a pointer/touch-pad rather than a touch screen and think it might even be patentable. Far less useful things have been patented.
I've written him urging a larger scope. This would be really useful on Android and on iOS as well.
