Venue 8 pro won't boot up
I charged my Venue 8 pro last night (it shut itself down the battery was empty). and this morning when I tried to turn it on, nothing happened. Nothing will happen. any ideas on how to get it working again? I can't have dell run diagnostics - because it will not turn on. I also haven't been able to find anyway to get someone to speak with on dell's site - so maybe the community forum can come to my rescue. Ideas are welcome....

Try pressing power and volume down at the same tine. It should turn on, either to the bios or to login screen.
This happened to me, but not because of a battery drain.
Good luck

I have been a Dell customer for a very long time and have never had any success with their tech support. Either I cannot understand their English with Indian accent or, they cannot understand me when I attempt to explain the problem.
However, I have had some success contacting them and getting a response from them using Facebook instant messaging. Go to their Facebook page and "like" them first. They probably won't respond for a couple of days and, subsequent replies from them might take that long as well. But, they do respond and have helped me in the past.
