Venue 8 Pro - screen dimms

I have had the V8P for approximately 3 days. So far I enjoy it. I do not like that the screen fades in and out with it's brightness. This happened with ie and fb. I haven't tried other "apps" yet to see if the problem is more system related as opposed to software. Let me know if there is an adjustment that I need to make in order to keep this from continuing. thank you!, \mgmk116

Get all the dell updates as one of them made my screen dim to much more reasonable levels than out of the box. If you still want to prevent that, charms/settings/change pc settings/PC and Devices/Power and Sleep the aiuto dim option is at the top.

Using the settings window mentioned above, I turned auto brightness off the first day.  It's easy enough to adjust manually when needed with the display slider.

Devedander, Thank you! That worked. Still don't know why it would dim indoors with no change to the environment, but it doesn't do it anymore. thanks again.

It can do that when something simply passes in front of the light sensor, such as your hand when touching the tablet's screen.
