Venue 8 Pro fleet dead int he water with W10 update...
Hi, major problem don't know where to turn, I know the venue 8 pro tablets are long out of date, but we have many that are working just great. They officially supported windows 10- HOWEVER recently as windows 10 applies some update they blue screen with a page fault error in non paged area.
I pulled one into my "lab" - fresh load different versions of windows 10, all goes fine until they apply updates, and then on the update reboot start getting the bsod page fault error.
This happens no matter what version of windows 10 i clean load - and have duplicated it on duplicate units - no other software installed.
Since these units were certified to be w10 compatible from dell - I think dell owes it to the owners to take a look at this and fix it.
Based on the nature of the problem I'm SURE there must be tons of other people out there having the same problem. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm also having this problem with my 5830, and it seems that if windows 10 was installed with lastest distribution of official windows 10 iso, bsod appears on initial booting witout windows update.

Dell do you have anything to say? I’m hoping whatever the next windows iso version will bypass this problem…

I have just experienced the same problem after latest Windows 10 update. I loved my Venue Pro as it had a sim card slot ... very useful for my work abroad. Any fix? Thanks

I had the same problem with my Venue 8 Pro 5830 64 GB and was able to get it to finish the 22H2 update by disabling secure boot. I hooked a USB keyboard to a USB port on my Plugable doc station and hitting F8 I was able to get to the bios and set the secure boot off. On reboot I had to add my bit locker recovery number and then it rebooted to windows with the Update 22H2 installed. A real hassle, I know, but it worked.
As a side note: I have 2 Venue 8's and have had both batteries and USB plugs replaced, so I can keep my investment for a while longer(no 32 bit windows 11). Some people are trying make a working version to run on linux but there are network driver problems. As another option the Venue 8's WILL run Android.
Hope this helps.

New Update: I tried to re-enable secure boot but windows would not come up.
Also I noticed I didn't detail that once you F8 you need to hit the ESC and then enter F2 + Volume Down to enter into the BIOS and turn secure boot off.
I love Microsoft ... it doesn't recognize it's own update as legitimate.

I think the problem you’re having is a different problem. Has anyone tried a w10 fresh load with the latest w10 build?

I don't know if MS or Dell did something, my dv8p is working with window 10 now.
Before start, exact model of my dv8p is "EveryPad pro", which sold on Japan only. so some of the hadwares are may different from general models. (but I don't think so.)
Here is what exactly I did :
I used Genuine windows installation USB purchased from MS, which contains 1803, I believe.
After installation, I installed Wifi driver and external usb lan card driver. then I ran a full install of upadtes.
After 'first' updates installed, I downloaded&installed official intel chipset driver from dell's website (windows started to recognise my dv8p as tablet from this moment.), and ran an upadte check and there was some more windows updates which includes drivers.
after reboot, I downloaded&installed official driver for : Trusted execution, Network, Communication.
after one more reboot, I ran windows update check and there was some more updates, I updated them, reboot, and it works.... for now.
by the way, camera doesn't works.

@F91_kai Upadtes: don't install intel MEDIA and intel IMAGE driver from windows update. each will kill audio and camera.

C’mon Dell- if this device was certified to work with windows 10- then fix it!
