Venue 8 Pro Failed Audio - Once again Win 10
A repeat of an old but worrisome problem. You can see my old post: . https://www.dell.com/community/Tablets-Mobile-Devices/Failed-Audio-after-Windows-10-Upgrade-on-Venue-8-Pro/td-p/4726040
Now a new Win 10 update broke it some time past. I tried updating drivers, deleting drivers, rolling back drivers, etc. none of those worked. Fortunately I have a second Venue 8 working correctly and was able to view the drivers that it had.
My Venue had the following installed driver for the Realtek Audio Codec:
REALTEK, 5/25/2015, 604.10135.1010.531
Driver file point to system32 folder
rtii2sac.sys ver6.2.9603.4161
I found an older driver for Realtek dated in 2013. This seemed familiar to me, so I installed it.
REALTEK, 8/18/2013, version 6.2.9400.4024
I heard sound....works great.
Now, time permitting I go for the microphone issue. I don't think the mic has really ever worked. Maybe a driver but also could be hardware glitch.
Anyone have or had this issue? Any proposed solutions out there.
