Venue 8 Pro blue screen of death when launching the camera

Has anyone else encountered this issue?

Regardless of launching via the camera app or via Skype, the tablet will always crash.

attempted_execute_of_noexecute_memory being the error message. every time.

Not sure if it started after the last BIOs update or after some windows updates.

Thanks

Went and uninstalled the device and re-installed the device and it is working again. No need to roll back the drivers.

Great to hear, and to have a solution for this glitch, one way or another!

Dv8P 5830 here. Same problem with camera.  ie camera doesn't load and BSOD (error 'attempted_execute_of_noexecute_memory') result w/restart

The issue causing this is the Dell Driver update, Intel  Platform Driver 603.9600.2067.26305_A03
Uninstalled and re-installed, no joy. Dell Driver updates only list the same 603.9600.2067.26305.A03, no prior versions.
Unable to 'Roll Back Driver' thru Device manager (greyed out).

Solution if unable to 'rollback driver'

From Control Panel | Device Manger | Imaging Devices | Intel(R) Imaging Signal Processor 2400 ...
Choose 'Update Driver'
'Browse my computer for driver software'
'Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer'
Select driver version 603.9600.1948.27252 [10/21/2013]  note: this is the latest version prior to the problematic  603.9600.2067.26305_A03
Click 'Next' to install the 603.9600.1948.27252 [10/21/2013] version
Restart computer, check camera to see if working.

Hopefully the prior versions will be available on your computer to manually roll back to.
This process worked for me...hope this helps your situation. My camera(s) (front and back) now work.

It is a windows update that caused the problem. More specifically the intel imaging sensor 2400 driver. Uninstall this update and reboot. Problem solved.

so I just got off the phone with Dell tech support after 2 grueling hours of one technician, Apurva with badge id #691119 and his supervisor, Sudhir with badge id #297247, that led nowhere.  In those two hours, BOTH the technician and his supervisor remotely controlled my Venue 8 Pro and fumbled around from one rookie troubleshooting solution to another (from uninstalling drivers, going into windows update, using a tool called Click2Fix) even after I expressly told them that I had this issue before, which was resolved by something other than what they were doing.  Before proceeding, Apurva brought up how we may need to do a factory restore.  After I responded with shock, he backpedaled and said that of course, it would only be a last resort.

I just needed to find this thread, follow the instructions, and roll the drivers back to 11/28/13 and voila, camera started working again.

While I know that keeping your drivers up to date is typically best practice, it's not the case as we all know with the Dell Venue 8 Pro.  The engineers for the Venue 8 Pro screwed up majorly and now we, as users, are stuck with the crapshoot of whether we land with a technician who knows the problem cold or is researching on Dell's and more importantly, MY dime/time.  At this point, I arrived at the conclusion that Dell is paying money to a call center to upset their customers.

Before hanging up, I asked the supervisor since he was convinced that keeping your system up to date unconditionally enhances the performance of the device, if seeing this particular exception would make him think twice before advising the same to another user who has an identical issue.  He said no as standard troubleshooting procedures trump solutions that actually work.  Fantastic.  Thanks for training your personnel so well, Dell!  You can be sure that this will all be reported to Michael.
