Venue 8 Pro Audio Problems

I keep seeing videos about how good the audio levels are on the Venue 8 Pro but the audio levels on my device are so low I often resort to using external speakers (not always possible).

Is there a solution to increase the volume level on the venue 8 pro?

I don't have a problem with mine.  It's not "Home Theater" volume or quality, but it's certainly loud enough.

If I plug in ear buds, it gets too loud before reaching max volume.

Hi, Waxwrong. I think the folks making those videos have been using other tablets where the speakers are horrible. The V8P is a little less terrible, so they comment on it.

Hove you considered getting a compact Bluetooth speaker? Since our V8P's run full Windows, we have all the profiles and capabilities for using accessories. (The Jawbones look cool, but I don't know how they sound.) A BT speaker might also work with your phone...

You could also install VLC media player and (carefully) push the volume slider up into overdrive playing a loud song or movie. Be cautious, though - don't blow the speaker!

Thank you all for your comments as they are all relevant. I do use a bluetooth speaker and also a wired speaker at times but using these speakers is not always practical.. The sound volume and quality falls below what my nexus 7 2013 produces and I just expected better after hearing and reading comments about the audio on my dell venue 8 pro.I have to run it at least 90% level as that is the minimum I would regard as reasonable volume.
