Venue 8 Pro (5830) and Dell Wireless Keyboard

Hi,

I've just taken delivery of a (very) second-hand Venue 8 Pro and, as will all Dell products, I am impressed with the build quality. And, as I type this, it is hopefully upgrading to Win10 2004, so that is very pleasing for such an elderly unit!

Anyway, it was delivered with both the wireless pen and keyboard and, once supplied with new batteries, these appear to be working fine.. to a point...

Every time I try and type something, the pop-up keyboard appears and, of course, if I touch this with the pen, it expects hand-written input even though the "Charm" still shows the DELL Keyboard connected. Do I have to re-initialise the Bluetooth connection every time I want to use the keyboard?

If anyone can offer a solution, I would be most grateful.
