I am using G Mail:  How do I change the settings on the tablet so that a copy of any read email will remain on the server so that when I log into email with the desktop I can still read the incoming email. If I read an email on the tablet it does not appear on the desktop. 

Any suggestions?

I need to do more testing of my Dell desktop email settings and maybe try using my Android phone and the Dell Venue to see if my email is being deleted, archived or lost in cyber space.

 I appreciate the help and hopefully I can post a resolution to my original question.

What are you using to read your GMail?  The built in GMail app, the built in Email app, the browser or ???

I will assume you are using the GMail app

If all you do is read and not delete or file or archive the email, it will show up on the desktop but it will show up as being read.  If you delete the mail from your tablet, it will be deleted from the GMail server and you will not see it on the desktop.

Using Gmail that was on the tablet. I get what you are saying and would normally agree. In this case after reading the email on the tablet,  the read email does not show up on the desktop.  I can go back to the online web mail and see it it is still there on the gmail server - it just does not show up on the desktop. I do not delete it or archive it and it is not a problem with my Android phone so I am wondering if the Gmail settings that came on the tablet are creating the issue...

What email program do you use on the desktop?  Do you have it set to display only unread mail?  Perhaps you are using POP3 and not IMAP.  That could be a problem.

Outlook 2013

 Display all mail (I Think)

It is a POP 3 account

Now that you bring this to my attention – I did replace my old desktop with a new Dell desktop and I do not remember if I have ever see any email that I read on the Dell Tablet appear in my inbox on the new Dell Desktop.  I could be looking at the wrong product.

Hizlial.com adresinden Dell venue 7"  tablet aldım. Güncellemeyi kabul ederek android 4.4.2 yaptım.Aldığım günden bu yana 2 hafta oldu. Video ve film izlerken ekran tamamen beyaz oluyor. Hiç bir şey görünmüyor. Power tuşundan açıp kapatınca yeniden ana sayfa geliyor ekran beyazken dokunmatik ekran çlışıyor. Çünkü rastgele dknunca film kaydırıp ses kısabiliyorum. Defalarca hem tablet çalışırken hem de kapalıyken recovery geri yükleme, hard reset , vipe reset yaptım. Ama düzelmedi.
