Venue 5855 Touchscreen not responding after firmware update
I was running the touch firmware update on my tablet and windows rebooted about half-way through the update. Now my touchscreen is not responding. It does not show up as a device in device manager nor does touch work in the bios. I'm guessing the failed update bricked the touchscreen firmware. Is there any way to recover from this?
I've already tried to reflash the tablet bios (which completed successfully) but touch is still not responsive. I've tried to rerun the touch firmware update but it says it cannot find a wacom device (which makes sense because the device doesn't show up in windows).
If recovery is not possible, what would need to be replaced...the touchscreen? the touch control board? the motherboard?
