Venue 11 pro tablet battery swelling

I noticed that everyone else if having the same issue that it looks like I am having with the battery swelling up and  that the cover plate on my tablet wasn't latching down like it originally time when I purchase so I took it off the back plate and discovered that the battery had swollen almost a inch thick  to the point that the battery cover wouldn't latch down! or now even lock in  Does this mean that I should stop using the battery and tablet  because it might explode or is it nothing to worry about ? but this seem to be a on going issues with my four tablets but when you call dell to tell them about the problem they do not tell u anything about the battery they just say u need to buy another one and I just seem like it is becoming a problem and also I wipe one of my computer to the point now I have to figure out if I need to buy a new computer or get it re flashed I guess is what dell told me and who know if that is ture
