Venue 11 Pro Dock DisplayPort Question

Does anyone know if the DisplayPort on the dock is 1.2 standard and/or supports MST (multi-streaming) video signals?  I am looking to pick up a newer monitor (currently looking at the U2414H) setup for the dock, and was wondering if I could make use of this monitor's MST hub/daisychaining features.

Thanks.

This definitely works on the 7130 variant of the tablet.

Is this capability limited to two monitors?  Or could it be extended beyond that (3,4)?

Yes, sorry -- that's what I have the 7130.  Thanks for the response.

I'm 99% certain that you can only run 2 external displays and the LCD (all at 1920x1080) on the 7130 device.

I have 7130 and two external displays all FullHD but I can't get any way image out of docks Displayport. When using HDMI on dock and microHDMI on device I'm able to use two external but not via docks Displayport. Is my dock fault and does replacing it fix issue? I have tried three different Displayport to HDMI adapter since my LG IPS226 display doesn't have Displayport on it. Still this should work and general display is detected but not possible to activate it.

I have the same issue, actually.  I did purchase two Dell U2414H monitors to connect to my dock, and it just doesn't work.  I have gotten the monitors to work w/ my desktop PC in this manner... it's great, but the dock has problems (HDMI or DP on mine).  There is another thread here where people are having issues with DP or HDMI to DVI converters, I think this all might be rooted in the same problems w/ the docks.

I'm also considering two of the Dell U2414H monitors, it's disappointing to hear they didn't work out for you. Question regarding your setup:  did you connect one monitor to the HDMI and one to the DisplayPort? OR did you connect one monitor to the DisplayPort and connect the 2nd monitor to the DisplayPort Out on the first monitor (daisy chaining them per the DisplayPort 1.2 spec)?

I also have the same issue. Has this really not been fixed - 3 months later?? Seriously?? What is the hold-up, Dell?

This issue is being tracked more closely in this thread.

There is a new dock available, you have to call for a replacement.  A01 revision number.

I received a FedEx package today from Dell, much to my surprise, it is a proactive replacement for the dock, indicating there was indeed an issue with the first revision. I'll try it out this weekend, but based on the other reports for the new dock, it should perform as expected. For reference: The Dell P/N is OMPT52 showing A01 The "Reg. Model" number is K10A The "Reg. Type" number is K10A001 I hope other affected users are pleasantly surprised as well. Regards, Karmicscorpio
