Venue 11 Pro - do I need to make the factory image backup?
According to various internet sources, there is no point making the factory image backup, because the dell software refuses to do the re-installation from USB or microSD anyway.
There are various workarounds, but my question was whether there's any point - vanilla windows 8.1 can be installed from USB easily enough, and there are only a few drivers required from the dell website. Are there any additional benefits from using the 'dell factory image' versus doing it from a vanilla copy of windows 8.1?
Will a vanilla windows install pick up the OS key from the BIOS correctly?

Update - I've just been reading, and it seems the problem with restoring is only on the Venue 8 pro, because it only has 1 USB port. The 11 has 2, so presumably it works fine. Only other question is what size USB key would I need for the recovery media?

I just used a 8GB USB key....... but the Venue 11 Pro 5130 has ONLY 1 USB port. What is the issue due to the single port?
