Venue 11 Pro 7140 - No sound on windows 10 only a popping sound
I got a refurbished Dell Venue 11 pro 7140 with windows 10 and there is no sound from the speakers only a small popping sound everytime one should hear a sound.
I have updated all drivers.
I'm going to do a quick reinstall of windows 8.1 pro and see if that changes anything.
Has anybody experience this problem on windows 10?
I will report back in a couple of hours regarding win 8.1 to see if the problem has disapered.
Any other suggestions?

You can Google all day long and find all sorts of answers on how to solve this issue.
The issue is with the Realtek/Intel driver; it is not compatible with some hardware.
The only way that I was able to fix it for my Dell Venue 11 Pro 7140 running Windows 10 with latest updates of all (firmware, software and whatever ware that I could find to update) was to
1. Uninstall the Realtek and Intel drivers (Administrator and regular user) yes I know it should work with just the Admin but it didn't for me so I did both.
2. Then reboot into safe mode (msconfig) and then search and delete all of the Realtek folders/files/drivers on my tablet.
3. Then reboot normal, troubleshoot by clicking speaker on taskbar or control panel and use the Generic driver which works well.
Good luck!
