V8P 5830 Anniversary Update Video Display Corruption
The Anniversary Update installed fine on my Venue 8 Pro 5830 with the A14 BIOS. However, there is an issue with video playback display corruption. If anyone can confirm this, I would appreciate it. Please try the following:
- rotate the tablet to "Landscape (Flipped)" mode (90 degrees)
- in File Explorer, right-click a video file (like "C:\Windows\Performance\WinSAT\Clip_1080_5sec_VC1_15mbps.wmv"), open it with the Movies & TV app
- enable Repeat mode to keep playback looping with the "..." button at the bottom right of the app
- now, as it plays, start double tapping the video repeatedly every second or two, going back and forth between full screen and windowed mode
After about 20 cycles, do you see any weird graphics corruption overlaying the desktop wallpaper, window drop shadow, taskbar transparency, etc. with remnants of the video or black background? This seems to affect ALL UWP full screen video apps, but not win32 players like MPC-HC, so please experiment with it. If you test this, please let me know if you see the corruption or not and the Intel HD Graphics driver version you're using. Thanks!
Here's a desktop screenshot to replicate the window size and position while testing, which seems to be important, as smaller windows cause the issue less frequently: http://i.imgur.com/OaWqbSK.png
Windows 10 1607 build 10.0.14393.10, Intel HD Graphics driver 10.18.10.4176

This video corruption issue still remains on 14393.105. Can anyone with a V8P 5830 on Windows 10 Anniversary Update please check and confirm this? Thanks for your time!
